I do actually wear it a lot. A lot of scuff marks on the hide too. I agree with you though, that it does not appear to really break in at all. Not that I dislike that...

How differently does it fit compared to the Frobisher? Are they the same length?

After much delay (three months past promised date), I finally received mine. I agree that this leather will take a while to break in. Compared to a FCL I received this spring which scuffs of you look at it funny.

While, the jacket fit me perfectly, I had to send it back due to a major defect that should have never made it out of the shop--the cuffs were installed backwards. This means the button tab was facing forward instead of backwards. This made it catch on everything. I'm assuming that Dave will take care of me and make it right. However, it was disappointing for a jacket that I waited six months for and paid dearly.

I'm shocked that they would send out the jacket with the reversed cuffs like that. I hope that Himel will accelerate the jacket remake for you. Also you may use it as a chance to adjust the jacket if any other things like fit were not to your liking.

I was the guy on the other forum that pointed out the backwards cuffs. Glad to hear Dave will be making it right. Be sure to post more pics once it gets back!

I can see why you would say it looks small, but Patek posted more pics on the other forum and the jacket fits him perfectly, both zipped and unzipped.

Yes, the jacket fits me perfectly, I can wear a sweater underneath it. I sent in a jacket that fits me well as well as pictures both wearing the jacket and not wearing the jacket and it was built off that. No issues with fit at all. It may also just be the angle that gives you that impression.

Gorgeous jacket!!! I have two Himel's myself- both Kensington's. Love the quality and leather. I would love to get the Imperial but already have a Good Wear Arcadia. A man has got to know his limits!
I hope you get a speedy fix on this superb jacket.

Is Himel's imperial pattern based on John's Hercules pattern?

No, it is John’s Imperial pattern- based off a modified Ventura. The Hercules is taken from an original discovered later on.
