Himel Bros Kensington

For a while, I searched for a cafe racer jacket, I really liked the Buco J-100 because of the simple design.

First, I considered the RMC version, but the lack of customs measurements disqualified this choice (damn my short arms...), then I ordered a Diamond Dave J-100, I was really satisfied with the jacket but I found the sleeves a little big to my taste.

I eyed the Himel Kensington for quite sometime but the price put me off.

Then I decided to lose some weight and got my health back on track. It was not easy but I finally lost 13kg, the DD was too big, I needed a new cafe racer. I eyed again the Himel Kensington and reached the point to think "to hell with it, it will be my reward for losing the weight!"

So, I contacted Dave and explained why I wanted to order a Kensington, he was a little worried to nail the measurements the first time. I sent him a photo of me wearing my Pegasus jacket and its measurements. He adjusted those numbers a little and asked for a confirmation, it looked coherent to me and confirmed them.

Today I finally got it and I was right to trust Dave, like @ButteMT61 said in another thread it's probably my best fitting jacket. The only thing I asked for was to have a grainy/wrinkled leather. It's well constructed and the Shinki leather is gorgeous. Quite different from DD's Shinki.

Dave is a man of few words in his mail but always answered my questions and always polite.

So all in all a good experience and an awesome jacket.

Me neither, but then once it's on, you can't see it. I think most people obsess over patterns when they get their first jackets, rather than the actual fabric of its made of, which is arguably more important.

The tiger twill doesn't bother me much, as @Sloane1874 said when you have the jacket on, you don't see it. Plus it's one of Dave' "signature", I wanted to have this on my Kensington.

I have to say I was surprised by this fabric I wore the jacket for a moment during the afternoon (25°C) and I didn't even sweat. With my other jackets I would have been stuck to the lining [emoji1]
