This is my first post to the lounge, but I've been lurking for the past few months. I discovered this site when researching my first hat purchase, the Akubra Banjo Patterson. I came to read some reviews of the hat and stayed to enjoy the thoughts of an interesting community of people.
However I have a complaint.
Lounge members are clearly attracted to well-designed, quality products and frequently discuss such items in the various threads. Since joining the lounge I've been introduced to products ranging from Rhodia notebooks to Revere ware tea kettles; from Tilley Winter hats to vintage navy pea coats. While I have not yet purchased a pea coat, I am sporting a Tilley winter hat and have replaced my officemax notepad with a Rhodia No. 11.
And yesterday I caught myself studying my old tea kettle and reflecting on its broken whistle ...
I worry this site may demand more self-discipline that I possess.
But of course I'm just kidding. I'm more than happy with the products I've purchased based upon lounge members' recommendations. So I was wondering: Have you discovered a product through the lounge that is now something you would not be without?
