Ok saw this last night on ebay; not my size but you may want to check this out under Willis & Geiger if you are a Size 46 or 48. I asked him to put up measurements which he did. I have no dog in this hunt just thought it cool. The Buy It Now seems reasonable too. Only drawback is that he has no feedback. Again not my deal but if any of you are into G-1's, then here is an idea.

Note the Guy says it came from LW in 1985. I am pretty sure I have heard somewhere that Stuart made jackets for them a number of years back.

Here is the description:
Up for auction is this Bauer US Navy G-1 leather flight jacket. Purchased from Lost Worlds circa 1985 this one owner jacket is like new. Thick, tightly-grained, supple seal brown goatskin with genuine pure rayon satin lining. Single-ply bidirectional 100% wool waistband with matching double-ply tube cuffs. Genuine lamb shearling mouton collar. The Scovill zipper functions properly and smoothly. The tag reads "Bauer U.S. Navy G-1 Flight Jacket, Spec. 55 J14(AER), Contract No. N383S-39943. Size 48 in excellent condition.
The sleeve length is 26 inches. The length from neck to bottom is also 26 inches. The width at the shoulders is 19 inches with a 2 1/2 inch gusset on each side. The length from armpit to armpit is 29 inches.

Can't tell from the pics. Looks pretty nice to me. Guy's been on Ebay for 5 years, never did anything. LW makes nice jackets.

Just for grins I looked again and can not tell either. I would bet he would have done a lot better listing the jacket under LW but it could say W&G on the label so maybe that's why.

From Lost Worlds site..."In the mid-80s LOST WORLDS began business as a mail order retailer featuring products from longtime hunting and safari outfitter WILLIS & GEIGER. When in the early 90s we followed our own direction, to become the preeminent manufacturer of Classic American Flight and Motorcycle Jackets, customers regularly suggested that at some point we make Safari and Hunting apparel to our own quality and functional specifications..."So, I don't think they made them, or did they? Hard to tell from that. Sounds like they carried W&G gear, and started making their own in the 90's. Anyone else?

I know that I have seen "Bush Jackets" that LW says were W&G Designs but it doesn't say they made jackets for them. I contacted the seller about the side entry hand warmers and the jacket does not have them. When I got in from work I realized it was gone so maybe somebody read this. If it truly is an LW jacket then $275.00 was a super deal. I know knits are pretty generic but they match the current G-1 knits on LW's site.

I don't know when LW started making their own jackets...or when this G1 was actually made...but early LW 'produced' G1s are sought after(circa before 2000). The pattern was different than LWs's newer G1s. If this is an early LW made G1...and the price is right...grab it!
( I've never seen a LW made G1 repro with handwarmer pockets. Must be rare.)

Since we are on the subject of Lost Worlds Jackets this Size 44 is up on the Bay right now. The Seller indicates it is light maybe 3 oz. My question is about the look of the hide. Would this be "Jerky" or just plain cracking out?

Here's a close up,

Again not really interested as I am covered on jackets for the moment but this is interesting especially for an LW jacket.
