Referencing Blackadders quip about the ‘long’ MA-1 style jackets that Hipsters over here favour. The longest down to their knees (seriously) as you aren’t your B-15 Mod is now perfect for you

Just scored a B-15 Mod myself this evening, not as nice as the Alpha Replica Harris HTM recently acquired. Mine is from the notorious Alpha ‘Vintage’ series, in XL, they look OK & fit me well and it was quite cheap...

Nice, is it a D-mod? I have never handled a Vintage series but I've come to understand that while Replica is a close repro of the original jacket, a Vintage is something between the Replica and the modern ones?
PS - if only Alpha reintroduced the Replica series...

I think its pretty much a D- Mod, they have just called it an MA-1.
This is the green variant I’ve just purchased, I have one in blue but it’s totally the wrong shade. I do also have a Vintage series B-15D which is nice for the basic wearer it is.

The ‘Vintage’ series are slightly ‘off’ in colour and the textiles aren’t on a par with the replica series (interlining is cheap polyfill type). That said I’ve had the ‘Vintage’ efforts Made by other companies around the same time and Alpha stands up well against them.

Best thing for me about the ‘Vintage’ series is that they fit me very well, short but broad in chest and shoulders & perfect length in the sleeves.
Knits aren’t the best and take on a ‘reddish’ hue after a while, if I’m feeling flush I might even get them swapped out for some MASH Japan ones.
