Help identifying WWII bomber flight pants

Hello all,
My father gave me a pair of what he identified as WWII bomber pants he got from the original owner/friend who is now deceased. I am having great difficulty identifying these particular leather flight pants and am hoping this group may know of a good resource to help in that regard.

Here's a brief description:
Medium brown leather (similar to some A2 jackets)
Appears to be horsehide
Fabric lining (dark brown, similar to thin wool)
No fleece present
Two top flapped thigh pockets with snap closures
No butt or front waste pockets
Zippers on bottom of pant leg (appear stainless steel, and only go up about 12")
Snaps at each leg zipper
Suspenders designed into the pants
Leather straps with buckets around bottom of pant legs.
Fly zipper (appears stainless steel)
No labels except one small light colored patch inside the bottom of one leg near the zipper with the number "25" (assumed to be a size)

Any suggestions on how I can identify these?
Thank you!

It sure sounds like sheerling bomber pants to me. A note of caution though, if there is no military size/description tag or never was one, they may have been a private purchase. They may have also been altered by the original owner as those guys did what they had to to stay warm/alive. A picture would help a lot. You may also check out 'pinks and greens' a book that has pics of different AAC uniforms and flight gear-assuming they are AAC and not Navy. Although many times the uniforms were interchanged/swapped and you get what you get.

Thanks. I'll post pictures tonight. It is possible this was a private purchase. The only label is a sewn in frabic lable with the number "25" stamped on it. I thought I saw a conversion chart somewhere indicating this may be for a waist size between 34" and 41". The owner was not a tall man but the 34" isn't beyond reason.

What's interesting is that the zippers are not brass, which seems common on my fathers Vietnam era gear. There is a word stamped on the zipper pulls, but it is very small. Hopefully, this will provide a clue.

Thanks again.

I may be wrong in assuming these are flight pants. Were leather pants used by other branches of the armed forces?

After looking at the pics, I don't think they are military in origin. They may still be private issue but it is possible they are motorcycle pants that may have been worn as bomber pants. The reason that I am hesitant to say they are bomber pants is that there is no insulation in them at all. They would need all the insulation they could get at those altitudes.

with the pockets I would say they are aviator pants, maybe motor cycle. Some between war gear was private purchase, could be the case here. Between war mil issue stuff was usually marked clearly. I would take a guess at 30's private purchase or straight civilian use flying the open cockpit types
very cool piece BTW
