Hello all,
My father gave me a pair of what he identified as WWII bomber pants he got from the original owner/friend who is now deceased. I am having great difficulty identifying these particular leather flight pants and am hoping this group may know of a good resource to help in that regard.
Here's a brief description:
Medium brown leather (similar to some A2 jackets)
Appears to be horsehide
Fabric lining (dark brown, similar to thin wool)
No fleece present
Two top flapped thigh pockets with snap closures
No butt or front waste pockets
Zippers on bottom of pant leg (appear stainless steel, and only go up about 12")
Snaps at each leg zipper
Suspenders designed into the pants
Leather straps with buckets around bottom of pant legs.
Fly zipper (appears stainless steel)
No labels except one small light colored patch inside the bottom of one leg near the zipper with the number "25" (assumed to be a size)
Any suggestions on how I can identify these?
Thank you!
