Heather and Yon...

Over time, it seems that more and more hats are showing up on the Lounge that feature what Dobbs called a "Heather Mix" -- a felt composed of different colors blended together that also has a unique, soft texture. Borsalino has a particular model made of this felt called "Misto" -- Italian for "mixture."

I thought this thread could serve as a catalogue of our "heather" lids. I'll get things started -- but any photos, info, observations about this kind of felt are welcome!

This hat has no mfg or model name on it. So from now on I'll call it Heather. Appropriate since its a beauty. Also a mid-ribbon and looks to be pretty old.
Very straight (almost reverse taper) crown with a cool multi stitch line brim treatment.

It was an amazing hat - you could really feel the quality in the felt. Unfortunately, it did not fit and the taper did not allow for a stretching

Here is a modern Mayser. The felt is mixed color but not a typical heather finish (what they call antilope). I was told the felt was made by Mayser. Other than the blocking this hat is very vintage like. I took some better photos.
