He played the pre-Presidential Harry Truman in '74 in a TV-movie, and probably wore a 1920s-style fedora in that, but I can't find any pics of it.

The pic of him as FDR: It's amazing, the resemblance between the young Vaughn and the young pre-politics Franklin.

Looks like he keeps some matches in his hat band.

Never noticed back then....But Chief Clifford could solid rock that stingy brim...very similar to my Lock & Co. Sandown...Definitely has that classic English racing felt thing going on...

He may have 'borrowed' it from Harrison Ford in 'Cowboys & Aliens'
Speaking of which, Ford's hat in Cowboys and Aliens allegedly presented quite a problem. First, because he didn't want to wear a hat, but was convinced to do so because it was a western and "everybody wore hats" in that era. Then they had a heck of a time trying to find a period correct hat for him that didn't bear some resemblance to Indiana Jones' fedora.

I find myself picking movies and tv programs just so I can see the hats... MrsFed asks me, "is that a good show?" and I say "yes! look at that hat!" :)

So true. Sometimes I wear one while watching in solidarity.

Back when Agent Carter was still airing, my wife and I deemed it a "hat show," donning our fedoras during to enhance our viewing pleasure.

Just don't play with loaded guns... (Rule #1: Every gun is loaded)

I wear a hat inside so I can keep the heat register lower...

Ian "Molly" Meldrum is an Australian icon. Often on television, Molly is a music critic, journalist and music producer. Since the late 1970s he has never been seen in public without his trademark hat.

I believe his hat was modelled off a modified Stetson (not sure which). The model has long been out of production so he reportedly now has them custom made somewhere in Australia.
