The Abbott & Costello Show (1952-57)
They wanted him to wear a Sombrero, but he had other ideas and helped design this hat. This hat & the part of Agustus McCrae as played by Robert Duval were so popular that the name of the hat crease changed & it became known as the Gus.
I'm certain the hats Reeves wore in Adventures of Superman were a strong influence for me. I remember watching reruns of the show when I was young, and the hats' straight-sided crowns and brims snapped way down are just how I like 'em.
BB, what I have heard is that HBO was considering a sequel centered around Seth Bullock. Bullock was quite the frontiersman, one of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders, Roosevelt's personal friend, & served as state senator. By centering a sequel or even a prequel around Seth Bullock they could use an actor other than Timothy Olyphant, assuming Olyphant would not be interested.Jack, I read today that HBO is looking at making a "Deadwood" movie. Heard any such thing?
Oh, I am hoping for a Deadwood movie...I was late to the dance and just finished watching the series....such great writing.BB, what I have heard is that HBO was considering a sequel centered around Seth Bullock. I've also heard that the only way there will be another Saprano episode would be in the way of a prequel of Tony Saprano & characters prior to being "made men".

Yes, my wife stated it was American Shakespeare. She loved it too! Even grew a little fond of Swerengen.Same here, as I was just able to catch up. The writing reminds me of complex poetry.
They are. I heard this from a reliable source.Jack, I read today that HBO is looking at making a "Deadwood" movie. Heard any such thing?
Same experience in the cemetery in Tombstone,AZ.I have the 3 season box set.
If a series about Seth Bullock comes about it's success will depend largely on the writers of course. But there should be plenty of material upon which to base a series. Bullock was in & out of Deadwood during his lifetime. He ultimately died there & is buried in the same cemetery as Hickok & Jane Canary. I've been to Deadwood every time I've made the trip to the Sturges rally thru the yrs. Except for the cemetery it's just another casino town today.
When you go to the cemetery you know from history that they are really buried there & it's not just another "Boot Hill" tourist trap.
I currently have something like 58 episodes saved on my DVR. Between that and Laramie, I can't keep up.An early favorite, "Cheyenne." I even have a dog named Bodie.
