I'm pretty sure that's the reason some people would wear these overly-stylized hats--they want the attention. I'd guess it's the same for Nick Fouquet's customers. There's nothing wrong with that; it's simply a matter of taste, and Mr. Zito and Mr. Fouquet appear to share a similar aesthetic.
