How I wish that were true, Mike.

Borsalino crushable, beneath the Strasbourg hospital in the wine museum, which is still an active cellar. Some of the barrels date to 1472, perhaps just reaching peak flavor. ;)

I know Randall, wishful thinking. I'm proof it doesn't work but always like to offer an excuse for a sip.

Fantastic setting, seen plenty of new world cellars trying to imitate the old world your in. Cheers to your real adventure.

Randall; Thanks for sharing your adventures in the world. I bet you GOT SOME STORIES. Great pic of a happy couple.

This morning I was having a breakfast IPA dwn by the lakeshore. It will reach the mid 90'F this afternoon. I am feeling sated and comfy under my milan.

Randall & Eric great pics.

Mike - It's impossible to read The Thin Man without thinking about drink - Nick Charles seems to have a drink every other page :)

Enjoying the Minnesota evening with a freshly ground, and brewed cup of Caribou Costa Rica coffee. A dash of cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon makes it an evening treat. My straw hat on my head, a cup of coffee in hand sitting with a view of the lake is much how I imagine August evenings.

Eric, looks and sounds great! I'm always torn this time of year-- difficult to enjoy the evenings outdoors with the heat/humidity/bugs, but afraid that if I say it aloud, karma will come for me and winter will be early and severe, which is even worse!

Here are a few contributions from the week:

Lee All-American with a Scrimshaw pilsner, one of my favorites, especially on the rare occasion you're lucky enough to find it on tap.

And Tumwater with Guiness:

Mmmmm, Guinness. A loaf of bread in every pint!

And from an Irish lass "Real men drink Guinness":)

Yep, ya gotta get back to basics once in awhile! ;) Does this particular Irish lass reside with you, Perry? good taste!

Somehow a this hard cider just seemed right the evening this was taken with my Bluegrass Green Akubra Campdraft.

Hmmm, Guiness and a hard cider. They really look good.

I am kicking back outside after pouring myself a Deschutes Jubalale Festive Winter Ale. I picked it up to be paired with lamb that is slow cooking for guests later this evening. Truthfully the dark malt expectation on a bottle whose label says "Festive Ale" was the seller.

I like it as it is a dark, malty celebration ale with layered flavors with notes of chicory, earth, spice and fruit.

My early 50's Adam Executive is my hat companion on this taste journey.

Jeff - I'm not a cider drinker, but that looks a nice way to while away an evening.

Eric - definitely more appealing.

Great hats, both.
