Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

International juice Day... cool! Looks grand Jack. I need to make time to go out in public and visit a bar. It has been a long time.

Juice day - Did not know this. I am sipping a Surley IPA with grapefruit added tonight. Surley Delicious tonight is my beer choice. I have packed my suitcase for some business travel and will be picked up for a ride to the airport and travel within the hour. The beer tastes terrific!

Enjoy the evening and your Saturday folks. Cheers, Eric -
I'm trying to limit myself to no more than two nights out per wk. I live in a mostly rural county with a small population but the vaccination rate is still only ~30%. New cases, hospitalizations & deaths continue to decline over the entire metro area. We've all lost a yr of our lives; I don't want to lose any more.

Sorry I wasn't around to see your post before your driver picked you up. If your travel is for a meet I hope your teams place well in the competition.

It's been a day under a Stetson OR Twenty-five, ending HH with some Lagavulin 16.

Tasty choice Jack.

My mouth is tasting the Lagavulin. Tonight I will have to break open the bottle and share some with my wife.

Akubra Cattleman and Yorimichi, an American Wheat beer from our favourite craft brewery. I’m drinking from a wood fired Sansukeyaki beer cup. It produces an incredibly creamy head.

That is one attractive cup. I really like it and will have to consider looking into some interesting beer cups. It is time to expand my horizons. My go to beer/wine glasses are a couple variations of Iittala glasses and a couple of Waterford glasses for whiskey.

This morning started early with an airport check-in at 4:45am. Home has me doing a dog walk, human walk, bakery errand and starting some lake trout on the grill for breakfast. It is an appopriate time to sip a Surley Pilsner.

Get it opened up, Eric. Those of us who like Lagavulin &/or the Ardbegs are going to have a HH together via Zoom!

Thanks for the wishes Jack. I opened the bottle up and we did enjoy a dram. Apologies no pics. We shared the whiskey down by the lake in the dark and agreed that a pic (with a flash) would disturb the mood. I will remedy that later this coming weekend.

Last night found me enjoying the weather change (cooler without humidity). Terrible pic, but it does substantiate that I meandered the property sipping a Founders All Day IPA.

My first day of the year in a Panama coincides with our last day with the magnificent Hibiki 17.

My money’s on Lagavulin.

What a wonderful dram. There are only two choices to replace the H17 with - H21 or non age Hibiki or better still the Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2021 released this week and aged in Sakura casks!
