@The Shoe inspired me to knock back a few pours of Weller tonight. Cheers folks! View attachment 332971
I found the Weller, but it’s close to three times what I paid for Buffalo Trace. For that price, I’ll go with Lagavulin, thank you!
Well it was worth a shot. I know you said that you don't prefer bourbon. Weller usually costs around $20-25 for 750mL around here, but I can understand if it would be considerably more if it is imported.

I picked up the Buffalo Trace for a very reasonable ¥2500 ($US23) but the Weller was ¥6900!

Happy Sunday!

I sipped a Surley IPA while prepping some breakfast for my wife and I.

Hot tea was my choice late afternoon for some raking.

This evening I have been sipping a bit of Yamazaki 12. I opened the screw cap and immediately the spice/sweet oaky whiskey smell hits me. It is a grand smell this Sunday when tree blossoms have only just appeared in quantity.

The 12 year old blended and made by Santory whiskey taste is gentle and smooth from start to finish.

Kanpai !

Cheers to you from my neighborhood, Eric -

Spent some time at a local brewery's tap room. Lots of interesting beers, some that are only available in the tap room. A nice coffee porter and a stout aged in a single barrel rum cask were the ones I tried today. I think the stout sent my hat pin into a stall but I had a designated driver with me.

One hundred fifty-eight yrs ago today Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson would die after being mortally wounded, shot by one of his own pickets near dark or after dark some days before. Ironic in that he was given his nickname by his men after leading them out front in enemy fire with ice in his blood, like a "stone wall".

Enjoying the morning with an iced Americano & a Stetson 3X OR favorite.

Jack; You got the snacks covered! I like that option. BTW: Your morning appears tasty and scenic.

Home from my hike, enjoying my first gin and tonic of the season with an Akubra Woomera.

Mm25; A well made gin and tonic on a warm day is truly a pleasure. Congrats.

No pics tonight as it is sprinkling outside and my dog and I are comfy. I have been sipping a Deschutes Fresh Haze.

Cheers, Eric -
