Stetsons are notorious for being off size, but I've had numerous Akubras like that, also.

Yep. I have two Akubra Fed IVs, both size 60, that fit the same. My Akubra Campdraft, also allegedly size 60, fits more snug than the Feds and I'd guess it's actually a size 59 (or closer to 59 than 60). I'm curious about how my new "size 60" Campdraft will fit when it arrives (hopefully in the next few days).

Out of all the hats I own, I only have two that almost fit me properly, and they're the same sizes. I would think that having one custom made is going to be the best way to get a hat which fits more true to size, especially if you're between sizes like I am.
