Hatbox Homage

Pictured on top of two Resistol boxes which themselves are on a Portis box, is my 60's Marathon box. It has a cool embossed design with JP on the lid. I show this box as I recently have filled it with a 60's Marathon hat pictured!!

Inside this custom lid, Churchill box is found a La Salle Hats hat.......my wife MAY wear it.....
More under the "Post New Hats Here" thread as I could not find much on La Salle hats let alone a dedicated thread.......

1940's Stetson gift card boxes......with the hats. Each hat has the tip label. These hats are too cool too....note the frayed ribbon edge on the one.....

A while back I got 3 new hats at an antique shop. One of them was a woven Stetson from Block's of Indianapolis from the mid to late 50's.

Yesterday I was in a different antique shop and found this Wm. H. Blocks. Co. hatbox in great shape. Fits perfectly!

Picked this one up while out and about......I could almost hear the Exorcist theme in the background !
Note the label for up to size 8. Not sure of the date of this one.......

And the hat is quite a hat. It has an interesting (i think) story concerning it’s purchase and i plan to post it in French hats, Blue Hats and Ask a Question because i’d like some experts to review it.

Borsalino...old.
Good thing was it came with 2 twins inside.
The blue and the brown behind it. My 3 hat traveller underneath.
Oh yeah, Maggies and a No. 1 for scale. Grins!!

Hat a straw arrive that other day in this box. It was in pretty bad shape so I had to do some work on it. The box was not listed in the auction so it was a surprise. Oh, the straw was a Pilgrim.

Missed this one a while back. I love that three hat hard case, could have used it on the cruise! I have one of those Bosalino boxes, it has a woman's luggage label from the Liner Isle de France from the early 50s. I think it is real!
