Thinning out my 150+ hat heard. Here are 4 that I'd like to sell as a lot:
Cavanagh size 7 Long Oval. Onyx Color. 2 inch brim. 2 inch black ribbon. 4 1/2 inch bashed crown. Guessing its from the late 50's early 60's. It has that tattered treatment at the back of the grosgrain ribbon which was very popular in the 20's.
Cervo size 6 7/8 Charcoal Color. 1 3/4 inch brim. 1 inch black ribbon. 4 inch bashed crown. Has a Portis sweatband (replacement perhaps?) with a XXX Beaver-Blend Mello-Felt marking and the words "Toss-Up" (model?). Interesting that a hand stitched Cappellificio Cervo liner has a Portis sweatband but who knows. Probably a 60's lid.
Dobbs size 7 Camel color. 2 inch brim. 2 inch black (double bow) ribbon. 5 inch bashed crown. Guessing 60's on this one. Very nice pouncing on this felt and it reminds me of velour but is not.
Mallory size 7 Light Violet/Silver color. 2 1/4 inch bound brim. 4 3/4 inch bashed crown. Guessing Mid 50's on this one.
Asking $60 for the lot of 4 plus shipping within the USA.
