Thank you!

Have you ever ordered the Sea Glass color from them? I was wondering how it compared - in color - to their Sage.
No, I am not a good source for info on them. I used them about 6 times back 3 years ago with terrible luck. They all had issues BUT from recent positive reports they have those bugs worked out and the quality is quite good. I have a swatch card from them but Sea Glass is a new colour and not in the pack. The sage is a very nice colour....what I would call a true sage green.

I don’t have a sea glass, but their sage is tan-gray that doesn’t look very “sage” to me…maybe a light green tint…maybe.

Well the good news is, I have sold all of my hats on Ebay, plus two hats that I never put on Ebay for sale and I have settled on a name, "Busted Hats", the name fits, I am always busted. I have one black felt on the block right now and I have to get busy working on it and get it posted on Ebay for sale. Hopefully I can sell the next hat without posting it on Ebay. Well time to get to work on the black rabbit fur felt, this hat will have a 3" wide brim and a Blue/Gray Grosgrain hat band, blue liner with gold pipping, leather chestnut color sweatband, the only thing that I haven't decided on is how to bash the crown and brim.

I finished work on a black fedora size 7 3/8" and I posted it on Ebay for sale, the hat band is a Blue/Gray vintage Grosgrain ribbon 1 3/4" wide, the hat band is a creation of Art Fawcett, I thought that it would be a great finish to add to my black fedora. The open crown was 6" after bashing, crown height at the pinch is 4 1/2" crown height at back is 4" crown height on sides is 4 3/4", 2" wide chestnut color leather sweatband, brim width is 2 7/8", the liner is blue satin with gold pipping. Here is the finished hat, let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions, still learning.

Now that the time has changed and it's getting darker earlier, started making hats again. Finished these two and have two more in the works.

That's not good news, you would think that someone in the hat material supply business would offer some products for a lower price than their competitors to make more sales and create some competition in the market. If they offered their fur felts for $10.00 less than the other guy, they would move a lot of felt hat bodies along with moving some of their other merchandice.

Here is a hat that a man out in California ask me to make for him, I still have a few things to do, but I thought that it might be interesting just to look at. It has been a little bit of a challenge so far, he contacted me on Ebay and ask for this style hat. Please let me know what you think so far. The hat has a snap brim, and it works great, I poped the brim down so my wife could see how it works, that is when she really like the hat. The brim is 3" wide, the crown is 4 1/4" tall at the pinch front and rear with 4 little impressions in the crown. It was an interesting hat project.

Nice! Do you have a block and flange for a 7 ¾ long oval (if the felt isn’t firm a standard oval can also work).

Hi Brent,

I am sorry but no I do not have a block over 60cm RO, I think that I would need a 63cm LO block for that hat size, correct me if I am wrong. I can always try to get a 63cm LO block, however I know Clint has enough orders to keep him in the work shop until the end of January. The only way to get a block faster would be to go with one of those blocks made of plastic.

It would be great if I did.
