Jeff, the pin on my 'Wildcatter' has the butterfly type clasp on it and it does not go into my head. But if your hat is a litle too tight that may cause a problem. I just put the clasp on and had the sweat between it and my head.Hamandbacon said:I love these hat pins, guys!!!!
I would like to know how they mount up. One of the DC-3s, has a horizontal pin-type clasp that makes that style a good choice, but some of the others seem to have a post pin with a button or squeeze clasp. (hope I am using the correct terms here)
I have an Akubra with a thin leather band I would like to put a pin on it, but the clasp would seem to be a problem cutting into the side of my head???:eusa_doh:
Any ideas here? Did I miss something?

As a pin of this type will leave a small hole you should be sure that you want it and that you plan on leaving it on the hat.
Some pins are kinda like a safety pin but without a clasp, they just slide throu the fabric.
Give it a try and show us the results!!!
