This is one of my favorite hats. Then again, I like all theme hats from the golden era.

'Wildcatter' I knew I just had to have it.

I love the derrick pin, and although similar pins have been up on OFAS (and I have bid on a few, though they always went higher than I was willing to go), nothing quite as nice has surfaced in all these months.

But I will keep looking.

The pin for my Union... kinda an odd purple that matches almost nothing, about the closest I could get was this moth tracked beater of a Champ Featherweight it's on.

I picked this pin up several months ago and forgot about it. I'm wearing on the taupe Trimble hat with the thin ribbon. The pics are not great. I can't seem to get a very good close-up. The pin is a sabre behind an eagle with a shield which is red, white and blue, over the eagle is epluribus unum, above the that is blue circle with 13 stars? I have no idea what it represents. In fact it looks exactly like the eagle and shield on the reverse of a one dollar bill.
I sure would like to find out. Perhaps it's a cavalry pin of sorts?? I'll try and get a better picture.
