Cool pin!!View attachment 127553 View attachment 127554
New Shady Oaks w/ matching pin. Never seen that one before.
I have never had a good result with this type of pin through the bow. Usually these type of pins are poked through the felt (Shudder!!) above the bow. If the pin is really something special (would love to see it) I would go to the trouble of having a jeweler mess with it. Show him what you are trying to do, where in the bow. Keeping the pin/hook as flat as possible.Suggestions please. I really want to figure out how to attach this pin to one of my hats (at the bow area of the ribbon). The ribbon is too tightly attached to the hat for me to somehow work the pin back into it to stick the pin into, so ... any ideas how I can go about fitting this pin to a hat? Should I seek out a jeweler to fit a different pin/stick to the back of the pin? Or ... ?
Thank you for any ideas!

If the pin is not something special, break it off or clip it and hot glue a snall bent safety pin to it. You prob can rebend and clip off the part of the safety pin. I would worry about hot glue holding, not much shear strength. But yes, clip off the stud and attach a pin that can just slip into the bow knot.If the pin is not something special, break it off or clip it and hot glue a snall bent safety pin to it. I finally got around to visiting my jeweler with the pin. He tested it to make sure his solder would adhere and then agreed to convert it for me. Snipped off the original pin and soldered on a lapel/hat pin to the back. I'm thrilled with it!

I love the ribbon too. Is it custom made or store bought?
I’m on a quest for a hatband to go over the ribbon on a silver belly hat. I’m thinking tooled leather, with or without studs, but I imagine it in white or light grey, not brown or black.
Does anyone know if such a product exists, or from where such a thing might be custom ordered? Been searching the internet fiendishly with lukewarm results.
My concept is to add a little badassery , like a little biker-y (I don’t ride) but not black. Skulls, conchos, and turquoise, etc., are not out of the question either.
I’ve tried all of the bands I currently own and none are exactly what I’m imagining.
For example,
My belt on the hat:
So far my favorite among them is my belt, which of course I need for my pants... Any thoughts? Bueller? Bueller?

Maybe @John Kaiyalethe could help you out. Sounds like he knows a guy based on this post.
Have you considered Etsy? I didn't even know I needed a custom tooled guitar strap until I saw some guy on Etsy who makes 'em
