Guys,
Wondering, if anyone experience difficulty with PayPal. Wanted to make a Friend's and Family transfers ...to buy some jackets in our classifieds. PayPal for some reason limited my Access, all of a sudden, and I am unable to do this, without explanation. Never a problem with eBay, or anything else for that matter.
I do not know what happened. I take my Credit Seriously and it is excellent.
Anyone deal with a similar situation?
Is there a work around?
Lastly, hopefully this question is not out of line on our forum...
Request your input...pretty Peeved

I believe they have some limits on transfers, it flags something no one knows the metrics.

Best to use other forms of free money transfers like Venmo or Zelle.

They also can ban you and not tell you why. Look at the user agreement, and make sure you are not doing something listed there. They have some interesting policies that can be easy to cross.

I avoid PayPal if given another option.

I wish I could be more helpful, I have seen MANY people with your complaints.

At least you are not banned...

I finally found out what my Metric was, I did not even realize, that I had set up a Paypal account over 15 years ago, and I must have not gone through the whole process of verification, because in the Last 15 years, Never used it, I did not simply complete the process, and that time, the whole "Paypal Thing", was pretty new, and I am sure with some added Risks, which problably put me off. Regarding the Federal ID, they wanted to Verify it was me. Finally a question that was able to be answered by an "Experienced Agent", the ID is Verified, Box ticked off in their system, and the Details removed, to protect their "Clients", that is what I was told. Also, if you do, at some time Close your account, they do not store your Data, other than the Transactions conducted through Paypal, which you woud have to do anyways for FINTRAC,

They did not mention "FF" to be a source in my case, but it might hold be true, who knows. Hopefully it helps others, its been a 4 day learning journey for me, E-Commerce...no more please....(Smiling)

Same thing happened to me, same story, didn't use it for a long time... I went through their verification process and everything is good now. I also linked my checking account to it, its cheaper than using the Visa in FF transactions.

Hello Fedora Fans,

I received an email from PayPal today, they are changing their privacy rules and guidelines, they have decided to give information to websites that have items for sale. if they think that you might have an interest in the items that they are selling on the sellers website, PayPal is going to share your information. Isn't that nice, they are going to sign PayPal members up for sales ads without your permission, so look out for a lot of ads showing up in your email. I am going to tell them if they do give my information to anyone at all I will close my account and check into filing a lawsuit. The lawsuit most likely won't fly because they reserve the right to change their privacy policy anytime they get the urge, so now they are going to sell your information so you get ads from businesses that you don't even want, but they don't care they will make a lot of money when they pull this off.

Just a Heads Up to anyone with a PayPal Account.

I hope that this will help anyone that works through PayPal, right now I am thinking about closing my PayPal account, and let them know that I don't want them to give my information to anyone.

Have a Great Weekend,
Darrell

Maybe I've overlooked it, but I wouldn't have noticed it for Europe. I also strongly suspect that this is not so easy to reconcile with European data protection.
So far, I'm quite happy that not everyone in Europe can and is allowed to do everything with other people's data.
