It sounds like your new hat has similar markings to my velour hats. Although, photos of the lining would have been nice.

I have a hunch that these hats were marketed by Adam, even if they were made in Paris. I just haven't focused on them because I'm too busy with the fedoras.

You quite possibly could be right Johnny, and if you ever get around to finding that stash of veloure, be sure to keep me in mind.

In the mean time, I look forward to getting this little gem in my mitts.

Don't worry...

I know exactly where the velours are, and you'll be glad to know that most of them are in smaller sizes (6 7/8 and 7), so you'll have plenty to chose from.

All cleaned up and stretched it out a bit. Don't think this one was meant to be worn brim down though.....lol
