Anyone know anything about this town in Germany. I see there is the oldest antique market there but someone went and it is quite expensive. Mainly due to the dollar situation vs European money.

When I went to Scotland I found a boot sale and alot of Charity type resale shops. (Heart, SPCA etc.) and found some bargains.
I may be visiting Hannover this Summer sometime and would like to know if anyone is familiar with where the bargains are if any. Thanks. Sandy

i generally find the more well known markets have less bargains there, because they are so well known...

if you are going there anyway, it would probably be worth a look, and if you are patient and thorough you may still be able to find something worthwhile

Believe it or not I have always found my best stuff at antique malls and shows.
I will tell families to take stuff back in the house if I believe they have no clue and only a few times have they actually done it. They say most of the time they don't want that junk back in the house.
I feel though if it is at a mall or show someone should of done their homework. I don't expect anyone to know everything about antiques and am still learning but there are way too many resources available now to not at least try to find an answer.
I cannot even say how many times I have been to malls and seen some common thing for a great price and a jewel next to it for a song. It is what keeps me going. "The find" so I will definitely go and see. I love the different things in different places.
This someone that went to Hannover mkt. said there is alot of linen and that is one of my weaknesses so will look for that if nothing else. Thanks for your response and welcome to the FL.

thanks... i think some of the more popular markets have been cleaned out, but you never know when a new vendor will pop up with exciting treasures... good luck with it... are you taking a spare suitcase for your finds?

lol I bring one empty or I buy a vintage one and fill it or ship stuff back. I try to buy smalls or cloth so easy to do .
I store most of my vintage clothing to sell in vintage suitcases. Some are very nicely lined.
