The picture reminds me of Tom Landry. He is the last NFL coach that I recall seeing dressed like a gentleman on the sidelines. Ok, sorry to make any hint of that Dallas team. It is a neat photo though. I think when the teams wear the old retro uniforms the coaches should wear a suit.

Agreed! I think when the players have the "retro" games, everything should be retro. There should be incentives for any fan that comes dressed in a fedora. The advertisements should be made to look retro, etc. I know it would cost a lot of money, but I think the NFL and MLB should have many more "retro" games than they do now.

I like your thinking. Of course those of us from this forum would most likely agree :) I wouldn't even mind if the retro games were televised in black and white... well there goes the ratings I guess.

I think it's an M2. Look at the top plate. It drops down at the right. The M3 had a top plate that went all the way across. :) I pulled out my father's M3 and took another look :) As to wishing the coache swould dress with more class, I think what you see on the field these days is a true indication of the society we live in :)

Onward thru the Fog :)

Sadly, I must agree with you.

Question; for some Packers and Bears fans might this weekend's game be something of a Super Bowl? I have good friends on both sides of this rivalry that have made similar remarks.

I would dearly love to have a huge print of that Halas/Lombardi photo to post in my living room for Sunday's game. We're having hardcore Packers fans as well as rabid Bears fans over brats and beer before kickoff...then beer and beer during the game. 'Till then, please let me say...

GO, PACK, GO!!!!!!!

Either way we will have to live with one side or the other where I live in February :) In fact they will be 1.2 miles from my house :)

The coaches are under contractual obligation to wear team sports apparel. The NFL has its fingers in every pie. A few years ago Mike Nolan had to get special permission to wear a suit for a game as head coach.

On a separate note, I hope the Pack go down in flames (sorry). lol
