Copy and paste the above in an email, I am 99% sure they will do the right thing, I had no issues sending a shirt back, they gave me store credit which I put towards another pair of jeans.
I think the shipping should be on you though, it's probably like $8 from Indiana to SF, stick it in one of those post office envelopes (squeeze it in the smallest one you can)

Good jean's for the money, good price, better customer service...While I did sell my rainbow nep's,they were well made and the denim was real nice.since I got caught up in the Gustin bug I've ordered five pair.I'll keep three maybe...I'll make the call when they come in.The nep's went because they were on the lighter side.I'm hoping the black2's and indigo2s are tight like the neps.

I've been chasing my Japan classics, they were advertised as late oct, early November, they didn't show up in any production updates etc. finally got an email after chasing them, they are posting today, apparently 50 pairs got held up? Anyway, looking forward to them as I have also ordered some indigos and I have no idea if they fit anyway! Will keep you posted, was very happy with the natural belt that I got from them, and generally the emails are fairly prompt, so, apart from the delay which wasn't explained until. Chased them, all has been pretty good thus far...

My Gustin slim Black2s are shipped. Japan black selvedge, 14.5oz red ID. I hope they fit.

I am very happy tonight as besides my Gustins being shipped I cleaned my White's boots and also got in a pair of Iron Heart/Self Edge collaboration 21oz dark indigo japanese selvedge jeans. I found a steal of a deal used. They are barely broken in, no fade at all. The best part is they fit perfect. They are very thick but feel great. They are in between a slim and regular fit. They have a little lower rise than my Levis 501 STF and have more taper in the leg. I like the fit. Mine have been pro chainstiched hemmed so they don't bunch up as in the pics. I have room for one cuff. Just right.
I will post some pics later. Here are some Self Edge website pics.

FYI. If you had store credit it disappeared but does show up if you try to buy something. I am sure they will fix the glitch. I have some and am hoping for a thick dark indigo or black denim shirt.
Here is a link for $5 credit just for signing up. Signerupper gets $5 also if you make an $80 purchase. Credit used to be $20. :rage:

While I wouldn't want to dis Gustin, what they do they do really well, I picked up a pair of 21oz Brand With No Name slim fits for $109 and while they lack the detail of Gustin, they're a rock solid jean of equal quality.

Personally I would recommend you give Gustin a chance to make this problem right before you go on a rant about how terrible they are. If you'd personally had more than one bad experience, or if you'd given them a chance to make it right, I'd take your little rant there more seriously, but my experience with them has been the opposite.

I know I'm a bit of a Gustin fanboy, but that's because they've done extraordinarily well by me. After years of mediocre experiences with buying jeans, I've got a new favorite brand. If there's one thing I don't like about them it's the wait, but if you can get a good fit fro Gustin they are indeed worth the wait. There are other brands that can deliver me equally good jeans faster, but not at a price I can afford.

I sent them the post in an e-mail (right after I posted here) and they responded quickly. They've agreed to replace the jeans with whatever they have in stock or give me credit for an upcoming run.

While I'm saddened at something as simple as a buttonhole being messed up, I'm quite satisfied with their willingness to right the wrong.

Gustin keeps me as a customer.

I understand you being a bit of a fanboy, as I've been a customer of theirs since the summer. Great jeans at a great price.

The flawed stitching really bugged me, but their price and customer service more than evened things out.

Anyone interested in heavy denim -- they've just posted the Sixteener, a 16.5 oz. denim from Cone Mills. Looks really nice.

Received my Black2 straight yesterday. Fits well, looks good, stitches, buttons, etc. seem to be in good order. Very basic, nothing fancy, at this price point probably as good as it gets. I like the material feel, thickness, etc., as well as the color. I hover between 32-33 in waist size, ordered this in 33, fits close, especially the second-from top fly button but once all buttoned up the fit feels good. Looking forward to give this one a proper breaking-in - no wash for a while, let's see how they turn out! I'll hem the legs a little bit longer than my true inseam length so when I eventually wash they don't run too short.

I recieved my 30 slim Black 2's also and the measurements are exactly as stated on the website. They fit well. I am glad I went with slim as they are not too tight at all. No skinny fit teenage jeans here. Just right. Slimmer than STF 501's in thigh and leg. Just very long. I am deciding if I want to keep them or possibly sell as now I am into the heavy jeans with winter here. The used 21oz Iron Heart's I purchased will be worn a lot. They are amazing also. I could use the money for a heavier Gustin. Then again the black does look great.
Am very curious how they will look over time. The black is very different than say my black rigid Levis 501 STF which I also like.
Decisions. :eusa_doh: In the meantime if anyone is looking for a 30 slim fit let me know.

Just received the American Classic in Slim. Very happy with the jeans and the fit. The denim is really nice too, very dark indigo, and a good thick feel without being heavy.

Just got my Jap Classics. They Actually fit! Maybe even a touch loose...I was sweating on them as I had already ordered another pair without Checking the fit...I think I'm in between a 36 and a38..... I ordered 38... Wondering if I should change the next order....will see. Quality is great, I like the feel, never had " proper" jeans before...so the deal is wear wear wear...no wash for as long as possible? Is it tue they wont shrink in wash? They are way way long...will need to hem them...I am happy with he product, and super quick post.

I got my Japan Classics few days ago. They are tight in waist but are loosening up. These are slims with 35 waist:
