Green Leather Jackets

I don't know...I believe green is a far more versatile color than people at first think. And just the fact that you chose to rock green leather tells the world that you'll wear whatever the hell you please, thank you very much.

I agree. Green is a great accent but also neutral, in that it works with black, browns, blues, etc. I just avoid red so I don't look like a Christmas tree.

Came across this when I toured the Vanson factory in Newburyport, Mass many years ago. I did a write up you might be able to find in the archives. Talk about a mean green motoring outfit!

I stumbled upon this green cafe racer in a random leather shop in Nashville, IN last spring, while on vacation. It shone like an emerald in a sea of black leather. It was, in fact, the only non-black jacket in the store. It was also on clearance, as it had apparently long-awaited a soul brave enough to embrace its whimsical hue.

It's made by First MFG, whom I hadn't heard of prior to this discovery. While the leather is a bit thinner than my usual preference and it doesn't have that $1,500 handmade veg-tanned artifact feel to it, the color is fantastic and it's buttery soft. I am particularly impressed by the large panels of leather, especially for the $150 price tag. YKK zips are solid and reliable. It's a functional riding jacket with zippered vents, a removable quilted lining and armor pockets. The fit is a bit roomy around the bottom hem, but for the price, it was a great find.

Crazy that it would be hard to sell a jacket like this. Those zippered vents on your shoulder blades are really cool (which I guess is the point).

Aesthetically I prefer less zippers, but they really help provide some airflow on the bike when it’s hot.

“Green” goat from Thedi, which changes color drastically in different lighting. I’d call it dark olive. I’d also call it too tight. Strongly considering the soak and dry while wearing it method.

Thanks. They are Fluevogs. Fluevog is hit or miss as far as quality goes. Most are more fashion focused, but they do produce some beautiful welted boots now and then too.
