Been through number of grails. At the very end, I think this is it even though I'd rather wear a cross zip 9/10 times...
Nice jackets and beautiful background!I am 100% officially "done" ! The closet is 100% full. Here are a few of my "grail' jackets.
Eastman Luftwaffe 6 years old. Indian Ocean in the background.

AND I have others that I like almost as much as do we all !
My grail jacket would be a Johnson Leather-made HD Cycle King repro without belt in 4 oz black steerhide. For now I'm very close to buying that HD/Vanson Cycle King.

Vanson makes a cycle king repro?

Yes!I think how this works is fairly simple. We get a Jones (pun unintended) for something and we decide we must have it. When we get it we realize that we are still excited by other similar objects because humans are always on the move and always looking to improve or modify their situation in some way. It's built into us.
Yes!
My first five or six leather jackets were all attempt at finding the grail. After that I simply excepted that there was no such thing for me and what I was really after was the next leather jacket, whatever that may be.
I’ve actually had more fun with the hobby since then because I am not trying to create the perfect leather jacket that will be better than any other that came before it.
^^I like this sentiment!
I’ve been limiting myself to jackets under $100. It’s a lot of fun, and I’ve ended up with some great jackets I never would have tried before.
Same here, limiting to about the $100 mark...quite satisfying
