This is the jacket that began my journey back in 2011:

I knew this would be the "one and only" jacket for me...
I contacted John at Goodwear, and he agreed to make me the jacket.
It arrived a couple years later,

and I still love it today.

Case closed- right?!?

We all know the answer to that!

Here is my "new" grail jacket:

The one being delivered next.. and then the one after that..

Although I think I've reach peak Jacket...
Ideally i'll begin to pare down the ones I have to just the ones I can realistic wear.. Ive put some jackets away recently for the summer and i realized I have some that I wore only once this winter.. no reason to hold on to those, and they are great well made and "fitting" jackets

Although I would like a Good wear A-2 in size 48 if youre holding... or an Eastman..or Bill Kelso...Next

My new Aero J-100 is my grail jacket. I always had a thing for brown cafe racers, yet I must've bought/sold 10 high-end leather jackets before I finally ordered what I wanted all along. I continue to see jackets that I like (really like the MF duck canvas Blouson in the B&S!), but I'm satisfied that my J-100 is my dream jacket. When I put it on, I feel like a million bucks.

There has honestly never been just one grail. There's always been a list. Though the jacket that started it all was my Dad's CR when I was kid. I loved that jacket. Its long gone before I know what I do today. Wish I still had it but Mom sold at a garage sale right before I was almost big enough to wear it. Sad sad day. I tried that thing on all the time since I was very young but never dared remove it from his closet. Should have.. I'd stil have it. I'm originally from the Detroit area and think to myself it might have been a Buco but honestly it might have been an early Brooks or Reed.

Either way a black CR has always been with me and always will.

It is a well kept secret, but I think it is time to put it in the open... THERE IS MORE THAN ONE GRAIL.

So yes, it has never been the Holy Grail, but the Holy Grails!

And I am always on the hunt for the next grail to put it in good company with my other grails :D

I have come to believe the same thing, at least as far as my collection goes. When I saw the title of this thread the first jacket that jumped to my mind was JMax’s octagon Chopper. At this moment in time I think that one is at the top of my list.

My next one, if everything works as i imagine it, i will be spending my days watching the grass grow or the leather to patina, will kept me occupied for a very long time, if it doesnt work as planned however... i kind of want something olive

Honestly, if I could have one of those two made, exact copy, Art Deco buckles, leather of my choice, either one could be my Grail. The issue is no one can yet make them...still waiting on the BK custom order, maybe it’ll be it
