Those were on the market from 1959 to 1964, and nobody had any interest in buying them except maybe schools, where useless technologies go to die.

The 8-tracks you can have, but the influenza outbreak of 1918 may have saved my Grandpa Mike. He was called up in early 1918 but couldn't go because he was too sick. He was called up again in November 1918 but (obviously) didn't go anywhere.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned pay toilets. I remember a rhyme that no on under at least 45 probably understands: "Here I set all broken-hearted, paid my dime and only F*rted." Pardon my French and all.
