Golden Era Aviation watch question

Hi Guys -

A friend of mine would like to know what kind of watch an aviator would have worn and used during the 1919 - 1939 era. He doubts if a pocket watch would have been an option, but he's not sure about that. Any info on makes and models would be most appreciated. Thanks.

RAF pilots were issued 6B/159 Omegas from 1936 until about 1941.

Nice looking watch and would be an option for your friend.
