I'm 5'11" and 213 lbs worth of bacon, scrapple, SPAM, and Bud Light.
My scoot is 2006 FLHRI (Road King). Here's a link of an interesting parking job I pulled in Wyoming the second month I had it. Was used to the Dyna which I just sold and had it's kickstand in a diff position (that's my excuse).

I tried to post a pic using the gig between the URL but can't get it to work here...so here's the link (wore a full face, thus the doo-rag...

I want to see what's left of the first fool who tries to say a darn thing about this guy wearing a hat:eek:

Goose, welcome! I see you are in Fremont. I used to live in Pleasanton. Welcome to the board and enjoy trying out lots and lots of different hats.

Welcome to the Lounge.
Let's see those Brent Blacks. Unless someone has been keeping it a secret, you might be the only person here with more than one.
Here ya go Lefty...
Not certain what you Hat Cats go for in pics yet...so if I took too many, well, I'll still let ya buy me a beer ;)

Goose, I don't know where in the Bay Area you located, but you could check out the Hat Guys in Oakland. Been meaning to make the trip myself one of these days.

Hey Swagman...thanks! Will have to check that out someday. Parking near Broadway in Oaktown is dicey...is there a lot close by to them?

P-Town is cool Univbe88... I like Alberto's for chow. Used to live in San Ramon but still hit Main St in P-Town. Last time I was there it was cold...in the 50's (ha ha for anyone east of the Sierras)...so I wore a Kangol.

Thanks again for the welcome gentlemen. Look forward to hanging around. Everyone seems quite behaved and welcome to offer advice.

Cool Beans and Whirled Peas...

Well, I answered my own question.
Went fishing in the Bay ;) and found a Barmah Trilby. Got it the other day and it's a hat I "may" wear if I was freezing cold with no other lid...but doubt it.

The "Barmah" was tagged "Melbourne Hats" "made in Indonesia". When I asked the seller, the reply was that Melbourne Hats is owned by Barmah. Anyway...buyer beware.

Did also receive a wool Kangol Trilby Gaffer that I'm wearing right now. I like it...certainly not "formal" but great for casual especially in the cold.

Think I need to get another Akubra...maybe a Hampton or ???

Thanks for reading and I hope all is well...

Yet another welcome

to you both! Goose, great shot next to the Harley. (I can't look at a Harley without recalling the day my dad brought his home in 1964. I was 4, hopped onto it at the curb, tipped it over, and put a dent right in the baby blue gas tank that he never could afford to repair. He took it in stride.)

The lounge is an edifying place to hang out. Look forward to more of your posts!

I'm pretty new here as well, but welcome from me as well!

Would be interesting to know what head size actually qualifies as huge and what is merely average... My head size is 62 and I think it is pretty big, but there are bigger skulls out there...
Hey Wolfwood...
Was going through some pics and stumbled on this one. Though a gimmick hat, it shows my noggin in proportion to my shoulders. When folks comment that I have a big head, I tell them that they are wrong...it's my shoulders...they're small.

The lady I'm hugging put the hat on me as a prize for winning a trivia contest during a pub crawl on a cruise. Everyone was busting up with that hat on my head... "Honey, does this hat make my face look fat?"

Wore it for an hour or two. Too bad I lost it that night. I recall putting it down thinking "I'll never wear this" but now I wish I had kept it as a sovenir.

And, I have no idea why they would have a mojito workshop, martini tasting, and a pub crawl on the last night of a cruise. Probably something I did once and will never do again. But, I said that about marriage too...

Swagman, thanks for posting this link. I'd planned on doing a search for SF-area hat shops, hoping to make a visit north soon, and you've made it easier for me. I'll be sure to check out Hat Guys when I'm up there.
