Found this article online, and it's really something. Using photo manipulation, the author combined WWII photographs with their present day settings, creating a haunting reminder of the history that took place right beneath our feet.

Indeed fascinating.

A new take on an old idea. I still think After The Battle magazine does it pretty well considering the time lapse
