Yeah, same here!

Here's another question, ladies: what do you do about working out? Right now, it's ok, because it's so cold that I don't sweat much during my morning runs, but once it gets warm, that will be an issue. Not so much, the falling of the curl, but the yucky sweaty, smelly hair.

That's always a problem. Sometimes I just suck it up and spray some rosewater in my hair. lol In the summertime I don't set my hair much at all because we are constantly in the pool or in the ocean. (another reason why I went back to dark hair, it was ruining my beautiful red color!)

Right now, I'm on a 3 day a week run schedule, so I wash my hair on the days I run, set it and have it until I run two days later. and when I am being lazy, I wait to set it until after my Friday run so it lasts until Monday!

but if I have a really good set that I like... Rosewater.. or perfume.. I think that's what they did in the very old days!...think like Marie Antoinette... before deodorant and stuff.

I also work out 3 - 4 times a week. I plan my sets on the days I work out too. I work out in the morning, and I take my shower and wash my hair, then set it with magnetic rollers with Lottabody setting lotion and use one of those soft bonnet dryers. I highly recommend one that I found on WalMart's website:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6023380

I have fine hair, but a lot of it, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to dry using that dryer. My husband when he sees me wearing it laughs because the bonnet expands and I have a tube coming out of it...he first said I looked like an alien and then said I looked like a Borg being assimilated. LOL! But, I am able to go to bed without rollers (I can't sleep with them on, too uncomfortable, even the soft rollers bother me), and my hubby does not have to see me with rollers in bed. Although before going to sleep I do use a pink lace sleep cap to try to keep the curls:

My curls last until my next workout. But there is a bit less curl the next day after I do a wet set.

Someone mentioned pinning the hair up before going to bed...how do you pin it up?

I have one of those soft bonnet dryers too, they are great for travel! But you do kind of look like an alien wearing them. I used it on a friend and we had another friend there with us, and we were dying laughing, because when you turn it on, it kinda of blows up like a balloon, and she looked like she was going to float away or something! It was far too funny! Now I have a rolling/portable standing hood dryer that I LOVE LOVE LOVE! It is worth every penny because I have terriblky thick hair and I can have my set completely dry in less than 30 minutes. It rocks!

And yes, whatever curls you have you can you can pin them up before bed and they will stay much longer. Just grab a curl and roll it back up, flatten it to the head, like a pincurl and throw an "x" of bobby pins in. Pincurls are sooooooooo easy once you have the curl built in!;)

I also have a hard bonnet/hood dryer that I got from Sally's:

It works ok, takes about the same amount of time to dry as the soft bonnet dryer I got. But, the thing with that one is that I get so warm using it because the hot air blows out from the dryer on my face. It is ok now that it is winter...but during the summer I thought that I may get really warm and sweaty using it. I live in MI so maybe I am more sensitive to heat...LOL! But, you mentioned I think in a earlier post that you do not set your hair as often in the summer...is that right? Or is dealing with the heat one of the hazards of looking beautiful? :)

Ladies....I was going to ask how to keep a set for two to three days...and you guys just saved me a bunch of looking through other threads for the answer. Thank You so much. I'm going to try that re-setting the existing curl idea.
P.S. My hubby is gone for a year so I have time to work out the kinks, but he LOVES it when I go to bed with a scarf or curls in my hair. He thinks it's "too cute" so I guess I really luck out in that department.

No, I rarely set my hair in the summer, there's not much point, we pretty much live in the water during summer. lol But when I do set it, I just wet set it and let it air dry. It's nice and cool. Or I'll use hotsticks or hot rollers to get a quick set.

In the winter I just LOVE this dryer. Even my daughter sits under it. I put the heat setting lower for her, but it's nice to warm her up after a shower and a set! Here's a little pic.. hee hee!

I just take five minutes and re-roll and pin the pincurls. It's easier because it is dry and I don't have to be as precise about it.
