"Echter Mayser" in black - size 59 (slightly smaller but fits perfectly) - possibly early/mid 50s (?)
almost unused/perfect condition - very soft and malleable felt - medium wide crown band (3 cm).
super wide (for my hats) brim binding (1,1 cm!) on top and bottom with triple stitching
open, almost straight crown at 14.5 cm; brim at a great 7.0 cm
offered as "Homburg" - for me "Camber style" - also good to wear brim down as "Fedora".

interesting "signage" and thus hat history - a lot of info is already here in the threat:
Maybe Steve can sort it out again though, in case I'm saying something wrong... ;)
"Echter Mayser" - so Mayser Ulm - as manufacturer in the crown and on the sweat
sold at "Joh.(ann) Zehme" in Munich: famous hat shop - itself rich in tradition - closed in 2013
label inside reveals that it was / could be obtained through "Hut Seidl" - also Munich.
Anton Seidl (himself a manufacturer) was significantly involved in "Mayser" since 1914.
As early as 1912, Seidl had also bought out the hat store "Joh. Zehme" in Munich.
The last owner of "Zehme" was Michael Zechbauer, Great-grandson of Anton Seidl via his son-in-law Curt M. Zechbauer.

PS: This is the same model as a hat Fastuni sold some years ago:
"Echter Mayser" in olive - sold by "Joh. Zehme, Munich" too
Have a look at the label of that one: not "Hut Seidl" but "Joh. Zehme"
The model number ("Art. 56465") ist the same like mine: "56465"
Also the controlling number ("Ktr. 33427") is nearly the same: "34406"
This one was stamp dated "21. Dez. 1952" - mine probably similar

Compare also Steve's "Echter Mayser - Superbe" with a Seidl-label inside...

Fantastic hat, Matt. I had one of these as well; sold it off because it was too large for me.

I posted this one in the New Hats thread earlier this week, but I believe it also deserves its place here.

Hückel Flexible from the early to mid 1930s. Thanks to Steve @mayserwegener for explaining the not often seen punti 1/4 size.

It lived up to the name Flexible as I was able to very carefully tweak it to a size punti 5 1/2, so now it fits very nicely.

Originally sold in a gentleman's apparel store in Randers, a town on the mainland of Denmark, Jutland.

I'm so pleased this one turned up on Facebook Market Place.

Super find, Steve. Great looking 50s type bow and stand out brim treatment.

The attached celluloid label says it all. You made the right choice :)

Mayser "Libelle", 58 cm, possibly later 1950s. The Felt has a great color / finish and easily dry creases. Also a really interesting Bow and Brim treatment. This is my second "Libelle" so not a common Mark.

Unique "Echter Mayser" Celluloid Label attached to the Sweatband. I have never seen one of these before so a very pleasant surprise.

I made a reverse image of the "Echter Mayser" Celluloid Label and translated the German text to English.

Another wonderful hat, Steve. The shape of it and the mid-size ribbon and bow treatment give a lovely sleek look. Love it.

Very cool! This is the first time I've ever seen one of these. A lot of the vintage hat have these hut-form plastic inserts in them, but this is unique.

Before I show the first of the other two hats, this was one of those uh-oh moments when I picked up the package. Two hats were sent to me from Italy. Not every Italian is @Daniele Tanto it seems, because this is what I got handed to me (left).

The resilience of hats and the wonders of steam made resurrection seem easy though. Here's the first one.
Echter Mayser in brown. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Antilope, wildleder, suede finish; whatever you want to call it. Superb hand to the felt. Mayser at its best. Weighs 117 grams.
Sold by Carl Schweitzer, Dortmund; couldn't find out anything about this retailer.
Liner is still stitched in; the staining on the liner comes from a strip of cellophane between the sweatband and the liner.

The second one of the lot. Both hats were listed as "maybe" size 58. When I asked seller to look behind the sweatband, he couldn't find the labels (I wonder if he looked at all, because they were there).
Wouldn't have helped with this one, because part of the label is lost, but the measurements (20,3cm by 16,7cm) suggest it is indeed a size 58 (I was kind of hoping for a size 59 to be honest, for trade purposes). Anyway.
Echter Mayser Superbe in grey. Bound brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Same antilope, wildleder, suede or whatever finish as the other one and therefore a wonderful hand to the felt. Very similar in style and feel as the Hückel Welheim ones. An oddity on this one is that it has two retailers mentioned: Hut-weber, Frankfurt am Main on the liner and Hut Gundel, Bremerhaven on the sweatband. One of the two may have been a replacement, but it doesn't look like it though and the hat doesn't seem to be worn enough at all to suggest that. Weighs 123 grams.
