Mmm ... any in my size, Stefan? [emoji4]

The Peschel I bought from you a couple of years back is one of my favourite hats. I don't see them at all in Denmark.

The ones I've found were mostly later production and it shows in the quality, which is nowhere near the earlier ones (of which you have a prime example), Steve. Most of them small sizes and the better ones were black homburgs (I could start a dedicated shop with those).

Sorry I was busy with a side project not related to hats. They could be very late A. Peschel Dinkelsbühl. I can't remember if some other company picked up the trademark for Germany after A. Peschel Dinkelsbühl closed. For example F.W. Schneider Köln was notorious for picking up trademarks of closed companies. I have some Peschel hats with similar labels / time period. If they are German made hats and have stitched in liners they are definitely A. Peschel Dinkelsbühl.

Very nice finds Garrett an Pellie.
It’s always a pleasure to see a fat Velour hat and nice stingys!
It’s always difficult to say how old or which time periode. Sometimes is it the sweatband or the logo what makes the difference! For me are the stingys in a 60s era!

Hückel Melé homburg in a dark grey heather felt with a semi-longhair finish. Brim sits at 5,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. There is more taper than usual on this hat, which is why I put these old-fashioned looking side pinches in it. Gorgeous hand to the felt and the liner is still sewn in. It doesn't have the usual Hückel Welheim size tag and hanging cord. Early sixties would be my guess.

Mike, Thank you for posting the photos! It's a real gem but only buying in my size range. I have a few small size JHS hats but only 3 or 4 were by choice. :) The Velour is really fantastic. Also like the use of colors (felt, liner, sweatband) which is a trademark of JHS in this time period.

My friend that is the senior portrait engraver at the U.S. BPG printed these on an Intaglio press (the stamp was for Letter press) yesterday so really nice. They are for the JHS Tonak 220 Year Anniversary celebration September 6th and 7th in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic. I will be flying out this evening. If you click on the photo it might enlarge.

Here is the stamp we used which is early 1900s prior to WWI.

Rockel Velourette. Nice short-haired velour hat in wonderful colours. It is supposed to be a size 57, but fits me quite well. Bound brim at 6,3cm and crown at 9,5cm at the center dent. I have a similar one branded Konsul, with a slighty thinner ribbon.
