Doug, your work is FABULOUS, that blonde surely looks like the real (vintage) deal! Well done, Sir!

Thank you! Amanda is the real deal, and she knows her vintage stuff!

I hope you find a good photographer in your area to do some Hurrell like photography with.

Doug

Edit: Come to think of it there is a guy in San Fransisco who does wonderful work.

Does anyone know of a photographer or studio in the metro NY area that does Hurrell/golden era style photoagraphy?

I'm having a family reunion in my home this thanksgiving AND my parents just turned 80 so i thought it would be a hoot to do a 30's/40's group photo.

I love this style of photography. Your work is amazing! Amanda is one of the best modern pinups. I'm also a Horst fan & can't find anyone in the Baton Rouge or New Orleans area to take authentic looking photos.

Now that's outstanding. Now for the big confession. I always wanted to have my picture taken in black and white in an old band setting with me holding my guitar. You guys do great work.

Liked a lot your work! Very very good!

I like a lot too Hurrell's work. His photos are masterpieces. In old books about lighting his photos are always the "example". And difficult too to get this kind of lighting, ever with those photofloods.

I just discovered this place and WOW, great idea!

I'm a photographer and one of my heroes is George Hurrell. Hurrell is one of the most famous Hollywood portrait photographers from the Golden Age. I recently tried doing some portraits in that style and thought folks here might appreciate them and give their opinions.

Perfect. I was thinking Noir before I noticed the "Syd Noir 174". I can practically see the neon sign flickering through the blinds and hear the gumshoe coming down the hall.
