Here is another nice lid that I would like to trade for something similar in a true 7 3/8 size. Even though this one is tagged as 7 1/4, it is way larger than that. Very nice lightweight felt.

Gene, that the one! This is a great hat, but too bad its a tad large on me. I like it so much that I will just keep wearing as is if no one has nothing in my size.

Johnny, I am interested. Let's see if we can figure out a trade. I have a couple pretty nice 7 3/8 that are a bit snug on me. Can I PM you in the morning? It is late right now.

Sounds good Scooter. I measured length and width at: 8 1/8 x 6 5/8. Also, I am about a 23 1/8 and when I put on this hat I can slip my pinky in the front part of hat.

I have a 7 3/8 gray OR that might work for a trade. It's a Canadian "Aquanized" Sovereign Stetson Open Road, probably from the 50s. The liner and foil size tag might suggest an earlier date, but apparently these features appear later in Canadian Stetsons than in US Stetsons.

It's a nice hat, but I almost never wear it, because the color somehow isn't right for me. I have other gray hats that I wear, but this one has some blue in it, or some shade of gray that doesn't look right on me. Every now and then I take it out -- hey, nice hat! -- try it on, the color looks wrong, and I put it away.

Let me know if you think you might be interested in a trade. I don't have enough posts to receive a pm, but my email is accessible through my profile.

Hat still available.
If no one has similar hat, I will also consider other vintage 7 3/8 fedora's with at least 2 1/2" brim, or any nice 1930s or 40s mens wingtips or captoe oxfords (spectators also) in a size 8 1/2D or 9C/D. Even 1930s or 1940s sport coats or suits in a 38 or 40 short. Thanks.

Hat is now for sale. Only flaw in this nice lid is that on the back part of crown, like 3 inches from the brim, there is a 1/2 inch light mark.

Asking: $125.00 + shipping. I need to buy some cap making tools.
