Below are photos of a Stetson 3X Open Road that is too small for me so I'm looking to trade it for a similar hat in size 7 1/2 or I will sell it for $250.00. The sale price includes shipping anywhere in the US. If somebody outside of the US wants it we will have to discuss the shipping costs.
Description: A vintage Stetson 3X Open Road manufactured in the late 1950's or early 1960's. The color is Silverbelly and the brim width is 2 7/8". Size tag is missing but there is a manufacturing label behind the sweatband showing it to be a 7 3/8. The felt and sweatband are in excellent condition. It appears the hat has probably never been worn and only dry creased a few times. The felt is very nice and will easily take any crease without the need for steam. The sweatband is very soft and supple. There is a slight discoloration in one area of the leather sweatband but it doesn't effect the leather in anyway. It appears to be an imperfection in the color of the leather that can't be felt by hand but only seen. It is more noticeable in the photo than in real life but I still wanted to point it out. There are no moth bites or problems with the felt. It is an very nice hat and I wouldn't be selling it if it was slightly bigger. It is so nice I didn't want to stretch it and take a chance of ruining the sweatband so I thought I would see if I could trade it or sell it. If you are interested in it feel free to message me. If nobody on the Lounge is interested I will probably list it on eBay. Thanks for looking.
