FS Brummel's homburg in black size 60 (American 7 1/2)

Never let it be said I don't do my bit to spread some nice vintage hats around.
@The Shoe : this might be closer to your ballpark.

Brummel's homburg in black. Size 60 with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent, this is a substantial hat. Brummel's was a Belgian brand. I believe there is some connection between the brand and Borsalino, because the finishing of the hats is very similar indeed. The size labels are exactly the same for instance. The felt is fantastic.
Asking $ 75
Shipping to the US will be $35 (prices have gone up unfortunately)

I'll post a few other size 60 hats as well, so combined shipping is possible.

Thanks for tagging me. Very interested and also excited to see what else you will be posting. Any idea on shipping to Japan?
Here in Japan it’s just gone 1am, so off to bed now, but will consider this further in the morning.

If you are gonna ship this any where( including Japan), make sure your box is no larger than 16x16x6....I am NOT kidding, any larger and the rate doubles...I am fixing to start shipping out a shit ton of hats and I thought that the 16x16x8 boxs would be great...NOOOOOO !...they wanted 40 dollars to ship,I got 16x16x6 boxes , it went down to 20..just a heads up... Thanks for the heads up. I'd have to check if the Dutch postal services use the same conditions for shipping to Japan.

Thanks, Mark. I actually had two of these three in the classifieds before. No takers then. Black homburgs seem to be a hard sell for most loungers anyway. Pity that.
I for one love homburgs, but I've never seen one in my size ( 7 7/8). It's always something when you start down this road, isn't it??

Here's a couple of pictures of a Beaver brand homburg that I own w/a sweet bound pencil roll.I'm a fan of the pencil roll ,but I just can't decide whether I prefer them ribbon bound or not..anybody else have thoughts on this?..

Well, I DO like the Black Homburgs, BUT, I need only so many. I have approx. half a doz. That with the already overflowing black fedora's of which I own very considerably more:eek:.....fills my bucket (for now anyway:rolleyes:). They need to be very very very special for me to consider now.......:) AND I will say this one came awfully close!!!!!!

Hear, hear, Mark. I can fully appreciate where you're coming from and after having sold this one I still own 18 black homburgs (I was surprised myself too);)
So I certainly don't need any more, but sometimes one comes along...

Well that makes me feel less guilty about beating you to it. This will be my first Homburg...who are we kidding? I never felt in the least guilty!
