From my Personal Collection - 17 1940s Ladies Hats - Tilts, Toppers, Perches

I can't believe I did it. I weeded 17 high end, fabulous 30s and 40s hats from my boxes of vintage headwear. These are some of my best, but they haven't been getting the wear and appreciation they deserve. I hope some go to Loungers - it is rare that I sell items from my personal collection, and I want to know they will be well cared for!

Wow.those hats are wonderful! I have never, ever, ever, won a hat on ebay.Ever. maybe my luck has changed.

I have won TWO hat auctions on ebay, both for far more than I wanted to pay.

Most of these have been purchased at antique shows and stores - the vintage shops here in town never seem to carry perches, I know they're hard to find ... but I think largely, that Portland just doesn't "understand" them.

Olive Bleu, I would love it if you'd win a hat or two!

My goodness, if I was a lady, I'd buy them all!

Beautiful hats! I hope they find good homes and are worn! Nothing more interesting and attractive then a woman in a hat I say! When worn properly of course.
