Freewheelers vs. The Real McCoys vs. Vanson Cross Zip Jackets

It's not sudden. I always said I knew it fit worse. I'm also very fickle with leather jackets. Plus, I need to get what I'm asking for on it.
I didn't mean sudden as in "changed your mind in 5 minutes", but you did go from saying it was your favourite and telling us how much you liked it in one post and then deciding to sell it in the very next post.... Quite the "sudden" and unexpected contrast.

I said favorite of these three, not favorite overall. It is nowhere near my Bodie in terms of my overall collection. I think you're missing what I meant as favorite. I still like it the most out of these jackets in this thread, but I can get a heck of a lot more money for it than I can get for the Vanson. The Vanson is so cheap and fits me so well that there is no reason to move it on. I like the La Brea more, but there are Teo huge reasons to sell it:

1. It fits worse
2. I can get money for another black Freewheelers or RMC jacket by selling it

Don't get too excited about the quality of the sewing then. That's not what vintage Buco's are known for. Chances are it'll be worse than your average Vanson.

I saw a post by someone who was shocked by the construction of an actual J-24 on display in the vintage section of RL headquarters.

Quality wise the really old one from the 40s like the one Bloodeagle bought is fine piece of work but most we see on sale are from the 50s and not really top notch. However, most 40s one are in rather poor shape condition wise.
Here is Bloodeagle's, most repros even RM do not bother to copy this early model.

Buco's are sought after because of their design, not because of their stitch quality.

I should have specified I was aware that I knew it was your favourite of the three.

I only replied again because you felt the need to "correct" my post about it being "sudden". It is very obviously the dictionary definition of what appears to be a sudden change of heart, in every conceivable way. However, were you misleading us with your flattery of the jacket, be it to justify an expensive item or because people critiqued Japanese jackets and you disliked that, and in fact you weren't a fan of it all along, despite many posts to the contrary, then indeed the decision may very well not have been "sudden".

You can see why everyone would see it as a surprising charge or heart/sudden change of opinion/ April fools joke, right?

Actually I was a fan of it the whole time. Im still a fan of it. I hate the fact that it doesnt fit as well as i initially thought it did. I only started considering selling it after people pointed out the deeper flaws with the fit on here. I had absolutely no intention of selling it initially, but ny own photo comparisons, and the points made on this thread lead to the decision.

You're the one doing the misleading now and should probably just stop your accusatory speculation.

I agree. That the guy (and others conditioned by the types of repros he was used to) was missing the forest for the trees.
As said, the early Bucos are truly grail level. A lot of people have mistaken Bloodeagle's J-22 for a repro not only because of condition but the workmanship as well. French seam sleeves and back. You don't get those in the mass produced J-22 and J-24. Bloodeagle's one is closer in terms of construction to the JH-1, the first Buco. If only you can find one in that condition too.
