Found: Unknown WWII Flyboy Picture

After my grandmother died, my family was going through her mountains of stuff and found this mini photo portrait of an unknown flyboy (it certainly isn't my grandfather!) in his B-3 flight jacket.

No name, just a number penciled on the back. Might have been one of her boyfriends or just a friend. Makes me wonder if he even survived the war (hope so).

Thought the FL might get a kick out of seeing a WWII flier proudly posed in his goggles and leather.

Great atmospheric picture. The flyier is not wearing a B3, but a naval M444 or M445a jacket. It does not have the rank tags on the shoulder which all B3s had and you can just see the top of the diamond shaped goatskin re-inforcement on the right sleeve.

Hmm... interesting. I didn't know Grandma liked the Navy guys. I thought she was strictly an Army Air Corps gal.
