A friend of mine has a beautiful, black fur wrap that dates to the Victorian period. The story from the family who gave it to her is that it is made of the pelts of two cats (no faces / feet or tails still on it!) who were much loved, and when they died the owner could not bear to be parted from them.

Some sicko abducted my cat and skinned her just like that. I can only assume that they did some thing similar to her pelt. She had a beautiful silver coat.
