Every single-wide needs one to go with the wood paneling, propane grill on the 'deck', and the black Bandit Trans-Am with the primer gray hood, 1 t-top, blue fender, 3 Cragar SS rims, and an 8-track of "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet"

There ain't nothin' wrong with the bandit ;)

I'm a little partial to him

I'm a land yacht guy, but would KILL for a Trans-Am. A Bandit one, of course. Always wanted one and have come close on a few occasions, but didn't I paint a great picture of Trailer Park Life?

The redneck side of me is hiding under the bed right now in shame. At least I never lived in a trailer... :)

I thought of another... Pineapple anything. I'm allergic.

Neither have I, but I did put an offer in on one, once. Anything to get out from under Mom and Dad's roof at age 18 lol

No LCD TV's in my house. Nothing against them, just not my taste. Give me a console any day, not to mention every TV I have was given to me. Can't beat that price!

There are a couple of reasons I hope older TVs stick around a little bit longer. The first is that the older video game consoles require jacks on the back of a TV that modern TVs don't have. I'm thinking of the two screw bunny-ear antenna connector that the Atari 2600 attached to. The second is, the zapper on an old NES will only work on a CRT screen. No CRT? No Duck Hunt.

I didn't know that about Duck Hunt. I have logged many hours on that game in my youth.

Here's the science behind it, if you're curious. I was. The old NES had the most accurate and least cumbersome aiming mechanism of any light-gun ever. Future improvements required setting up receivers, calibrating the aim, and all sorts of annoyances. The NES was plug and play.

I have lived in a trailer (when I was a very young and my mom was raising my sister and I by herself), it's not awful. But I lived up by the Cascades - you get a different kind of trailer park up there, at least in the early 80s. I don't remember a lot of rednecks, in fact I don't think I'd ever met one until we moved to Missouri in 1994. Have to say, they're a bit of a trip out here! A guy a few houses down from us has deer antlers on the roof of his truck with a headlight! lol

Hehe, a few of my family members resemble that remark! I probably should have said I never lived in a trailer park, or one of that description. But rednecks sure have fun with their meat-I am taking venison salami home from western KY thanks to my uncle! :)

My best friend's iPod is banned. Every time he comes over and I'm enjoying my vinyls, he wants to plug that damn thing in and make me listen to hip-hop noise or some of that N'Sync in a Cowboy Hat stuff they're calling country-western these days. I told him to leave that darn thing in the truck and actually got rid of any radio I had with an aux port that will support the dang thing. They're all happily in storage lol

- Taxidermy animals. { Especially not my own }. Fascinating in a museum, but not in my house.
- Paintings of Dutch 'artist/singer' Herman Brood { They are absolutely ridiculous } Everyone mocked with it; but when he committed suicide everyone and their mother wanted one.
- Any other abstract art.
- Porn
- Decaffeinated coffee or instant coffee

I gave up regular coffee and tea about a month ago and feel better than ever. It was unbelieveable how dehydrated I was. Took me a while to get used to decaf but when I need to quit something I usually have to do it cold turkey.

Instant coffee, though? Yes, never in my house, as well.

How bad were the withdrawal symptoms?
I am not ready yet to give up coffee though. But just .. well .. if I ever want to, than I know what I can expect.

Ketchup

I lost my taste for ketchup a long time ago and can't stand it. I usually eat fries either plain or with salsa.

I never understood that mentality. Bad art is bad art. The fact that he died, however tragically, is NOT going to improve the work. As for abstract "art", that's something that makes me grind my teeth just as much as modern contemporary music.
