I really liked your review, I found it particularly well written and entertaining, and the photos were helpful in illustrating your points. Although Iron Boots are definitely above my price range right now, I am glad I had the opportunity to become aware of an interesting new maker.

I keep forgetting to tell you about some new boots. Triumph Dadlington, in a sort of oxblood brown.

They are literally as stiff as a board and I've been wearing them about the house over thick socks for the last couple of days - the stiffness isn't helped by them being armoured motorcycle boots with a double-thickness of hide on the gear change panel.

A collab between Makers and Fine Creek Leathers. Boots are made by Makers using the same horsehide as the FCL carcoat hh

Benzein Side Zip and High Jodphur

Boots are not made in japan but the materials are all japanese. Shinki horsebutt upper. Lining is deerskin from Fujioka Deer, same deerskin as FW, FCL, TFH, Redmoon and etc use on their deerskin jackets. Soles are Shonan and welt came from Tochigi

I provided all the materials and Benzein made them to my specs without even missing a single thing. Huge thanks to Benzein for the fantastic work!

Made in Mexico. Shinki Dark Cherry Horsebutt upper, untructured toe, unstructured heel, fully unlined, dr sole dress rubber soles studded, stitchdown construction...

Shafts aren't narrow but they aren't paticularly wide either in real life
