I've never heard of him! I completely get what he is saying though. I'll point out "Miss EVOO" as one of those people he describes.

Keith was fantastic. He did a whole series on USA. Floyd's American Pie. It's sad to see how he aged so quickly. This was filmed in 1989, he was 46. When he was filmed in the interview that I posted previously he was 66. He looks a lot older.

I used to watch and enjoy Floyd's shows when I'd run across them. I must say..he is quite unique. Time does slip away so quickly. Surprising how he's aged.

This is really all new to me....I guess it is O.K. to watch some shows about food and what not, but.....for me it would be similar to being locked outside the restaurant, and not being able to eat...the torture of it all....no...not for me. Now I can grab up anyone's cook book or, toss things together and make them work....I just do not see watching "Chef LaDoo", on TV...

Wow... he reminds me so much of Ramsay especially with his hand movements! He must have been an influence. I can NOT believe he's only 66 in that interview! That's crazy :eeek:

I also like Man VS Food, but I dislike watching Adam make a big deal out of everything.

What's sad about Adam Richman is that he's essentially a glorified cheerleader now who no longer "competes" in gorging himself to near death. Guess the doctor gave Adam the long face when he told him that all that eating was slowly killing the poor guy. Richman still looks like he hasn't recovered from all the damage he must've done to himself.

As for Bourdain, I'll take his blunt takes on the so-called "nice" Food Network hosts who are probably quite unlike the airbrushed perfection they portray themselves to be.

Julia will always remain the best, IMHO. I've got the French Chef on DVD and watch it fairly often!
