Flight Apparel Industries G1 - Opinions?

Hi all,

Does anybody have any experience with Flight Apparel Industries G1? I found this one on eBay and the measurements look like they would be a good fit...still, my hunch says I should splash the extra cash and go for one of Aero's M422a in stock on their sale page...decisions decisions.

FAI jackets were decent, but certain not high end repos. I’ve got an A2 and it’s a very solid, good fitting jacket. Some of the details are a bit off, but i only paid $80 Canadian (about 50 pounds) for it.

Agree, the FAI not top-end repros but rather like the issued G-1s. i have a couple of buddies who bought GAI G-1s on the Marine Corps Base at Cherry Point, NC. they are great, wearable jackets. go for it!

I purchased a mint Flight Apparel Industries G-1 several years ago, and I consider it an outstanding jacket. The detail and stitching match nearly perfectly with my blue tag Cooper and issued Ralph Edwards G-1's. Mine is goatskin, with a Dynal collar. If you can get one at a good price, grab it. I think you'll be very pleased.

Sorry to took so long to respond, but I was traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. Here are some photos I took today of my Flight apparel Industries G-1 Sorry also for the poor quality of the photos, but I had my wife take them with her phone. I got this jacket for right around $120, and have been totally satisfied

. From what I can tell from my research, it's like an issued jacket in every detail.

That looks really, really nice @pjman. Thank you for sharing the photos! I just bought the G1 I linked to earlier in this thread for what I feel was a fair price based on its condition. I think it's either earlier or later than your version, but the fit on yours looks spot on the quality seems very nice!

Congratulations on your purchase! I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the jacket. Post some photos when it arrives, please.
