Looks amazing on you mate! in my eyes the jacket looks as good as it could!(shoulders looks perfect!) :)

@4444Design Also love that A2! really nice looking leather and fits you like a glove :)

Cheers boys!

Thanks for the positive feedback!

In my opinion an A2 is not made to for layering underneath respective to function as the outer "level" but rathermore to be worn underneath some heavier and warmer garment (like B3 jackets or so). Thus i don't like 'em too baggy and with the RW i think i found just about the correct cut to fit the shape of my body ...

I'm pretty happy with the jacket for sure.

Maybe the seal is a bit on the dark side but it is not pitchblack anyway.

"Talking" about 5Star:

see some shots of their A10 gloves (seal) in comparison with some repops i bought in Normandy about 10 yrs ago for twice the price of them Fivestar gloves ...

I do not own an original pair or one of the high-price repros from either MASH, ELC or any other company but compared with the ones i already have they are much better made with better materials.

The liner makes 'em pretty warm so they are good for some walks through "WWL" (winter wonder land) as well ...

The knits are trim enough and the craftmanship is also remarkably good

Those 5Star gloves are on the right side of the pics ...

To order them "singulary" - i mean just those gloves bit nothing else - in Pakistan would be an financial "overshoot" coz of the shipping rate but as an addition to any incoming jacket those approx 30 bucks are an good investment

Nice tip. I've been happy over the years to buy from more expensive makers for big items like jackets, but sometimes when it comes to bits and pieces like gloves, it's not always worth a big spend...

On the matter of Five Star, I've also been idly look at their G1s. I've had a G1 patch project in mind for some time, relating to a university project I'm involved with in Beijing. (Partly this grew out of my fondness for the AVG look, though their blood chits aren't something I could realistically wear in Beijing, for obvious reasons.) Don't want to put big money into the base jacket, as is common for those of us looking at patching something up. Thing I'm finding is a lot of the more affordable options are on the small size. Five Star can clearly accommodate my shoulders, but it looks like they might end up being comically overlarge on the chest to accommodate my waist. Looks from their measurements chart that all their G1s (and all but one M422a) assume a ten inch drop chest to waist? It's unlikely I'll ever be small than a 42W again, but I'm a 48 chest... gonig up to 54" on the jacket chest would surely swamp me? I'm not looking to wear it with a Winter sweater, more likely just a shirt underneath, same as I'd wear an A2...

So far so good .
I wanted a copy (70% close at least)of almostvintagestyles 1940s HH Jacket and they delivered.
This hose is supposed to be full grain horsehide and they no longer seem to add the faux aging to it . The finish seems to be more minimal when I look at the folded seams .

The last picture is the original as a reference

It doesn't has a plastic touch to it .Very warm and soft touch but it still has some firmness.
Slightly tumbled and it seems to start creasing right away.
It absorbed water right away and darkend .
No bad smells either .
It has a waxy feeling right out of the box .

Hi guys I'm in the process of having some custom stuff made by 5* and through sleuthing online, yall seem to be the best bet when it comes to experience with the brand.

How have your experiences been with their semi veg goat skin vs the 100% veg? I really want the coat to feel like "skin" rather than synthetic polymer a lot of the crap on the market feels like these days and unfortunately their 100% veg is not available in black lol.

I'm trying to have a winter jacket made similar to the "van puffer bomber" Danier sells, it can get kinda chilly where i live and assumed goat would be the best bet but honestly i don't really know much about leather. All the reading in the world doesn't really replace first hand experience.

If yall have alternative suggestions (i've heard horse hide handles getting wet pretty well too?) I would be happy to hear them!
