I just noticed something:

I have heard a lot of rumours saying that BK jackets are actually made in Pakistan, not Greece.
I wonder if this is the proof?
Or did 5 star just see a BK jacket online and decided to perfectly copy that label?

They both look to be printed on the same textured fabric, similar fonts, same size, coincidence?

Has anyone ever seen Bill Kelso and Five Star together in the same room?

Doesn’t make any sense to me... BK could well be made in Pakistan for what we know but it’s impossible it’s 5*. Aside from leather and hardware which are worlds apart, BK tweaks stock sizes very much like Aero but doesn’t build off a sketch of the jacket with measurements sent by the customer.

Anyway I’ll get my 5* tomorrow and to some extent I’ll have both BK and 5* in a room to compare :)

My jacket arrived late yesterday, it only took 4 days to make it from Pakistan to the West Coast of the USA. Crazy. I like the jacket in general, it's well constructed and the leather seems to be high quality. I expected the 1.4mm goatskin to be more substantial than it is, but I really don't know anything about goatskin weight vs thickness. The quilted lining is nice, I can tell the difference in warmth from a stock G1 I had previously. The lining is fused instead of stitched, we'll see how it holds up.

The measurements are for the most part the same as I ordered except the back length is a 1/2 inch shorter, and the wrist measurement is 1/4" to 1/2" larger. When I look at the back measurement photo Sean sent me I can see the measuring tape looks a bit slack, like they saw it was a bit off and moved the tape to make it look right. I understand how tolerances work, 1/4" is to be expected, but 1/2" or more and sending a photo that doesn't show reality doesn't seem right to me.

This is my first time doing made to measure, there are definitely some size tweaks I would make if I was doing this again. Tell me what you think of the fit. I snapped some selfies in the grocery store.

For some reason the gallery thinks my photos are rotated wrong. They look correct if you click the image name instead of opening the gallery.

When Shawn says his tolerances are around one cm that is essentially half an inch. I personally would accept happliy (and generally expect) any jacket that came within half an inch to 3/4 of an inch of what I requested. It's a hand made item in a natural material, it isn't a piece of titanuim cut by precision equipment. As to his measuring differently, that will also happen. Even the room temperature can influence how leather stretches for measurement.

Can we get some fit pictures from the Frozen Foods or the Dairy Section?????????????? Maybe the Canned Soup Aisle has better lighting......:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Seriously though......Looks good man. In my non 5* experience with Goat, its never really very substantial thickness and weight wise. Its strength and durability is in spite of its thinner feel compared to Bovine and HH.

Fit looks decent to me. Maybe the sleeves are a tad long but the rest looks cool. The knits APPEAR a bit long but I know this has been discussed quite a bit and its an aspect that I don't have the expertise to get into much having no knowledge of G1 authentic design aspects.

Lightning fast delivery though. Nice weather to break it in too with the La Nina.
